What we help with
Online grief counselling and therapy
Grief is the price of having cared about something. It does not move in tidy stages, and there is no deadline. Some days it is a dull ache, other days it knocks you over without warning.
Signs you might recognise
Therapy does not try to take grief away. It gives it somewhere to go, and helps when you feel stuck, alone with it, or worried about how you are coping.
Recognising yourself in a few of these does not mean something is wrong with you. It means it may be worth a conversation.
- Waves of sadness, anger, guilt or relief
- Feeling numb or disconnected from daily life
- Trouble sleeping, eating or concentrating
- Avoiding reminders, or being unable to leave them
- Feeling that others have moved on while you have not
- Loss that others do not acknowledge, such as a miscarriage, a pet or an estrangement
How therapy helps
Your therapist will suggest an approach based on what you want to change. Common ones include:
- 1
Grief counselling
Space to tell the story, feel what you feel, and be accompanied through it.
- 2
Meaning-centred work
Find ways to carry the relationship forward while building a life around the loss.
- 3
Complicated grief therapy
Structured support when grief stays intense and stuck for a long time.
Three things you can try today
- Let it come in waves. Fighting them usually makes them bigger.
- Keep one small daily anchor: a meal, a walk, a phone call.
- Tell people what helps. Most want to and do not know how.

Common questions
Is what I am feeling normal?
Grief can bring sadness, anger, guilt, relief, numbness and exhaustion, sometimes all in one day. There is a very wide range of normal. If you are worried about how you are coping, that alone is a good reason to talk to someone.
When should I seek help for grief?
Any time you want company in it. Consider it especially if grief remains as intense after many months, if you cannot function day to day, or if you have thoughts of not wanting to live.
