How sessions work
Face to face, from wherever you are.
Sessions are private video calls. How visible you are is up to you.
Video sessions
You and your therapist meet through a private link. Nothing to install, and no number to call.
Camera on or off
Prefer not to be seen today? Turn your camera off and just talk. It works on a walk, too.
Messages in between
Send your therapist a note to move an appointment or ask a quick question. Therapy itself happens in your sessions.

Who is it for?
Most people start weekly and space sessions out as they feel better. Your therapist will suggest a rhythm, and you decide.
Our therapists
Qualified, vetted and human.
Good therapy depends on the person in front of you. We are careful about who that is.
- Licensed or registered with a professional body where they practise
- Identity, qualifications and insurance checked before they join
- Supervised clinical experience, not just a certificate
- Interviewed by us, because warmth does not show up on paper

What is mymind?
mymind is an online therapy clinic. You answer a few questions, we suggest licensed therapists who fit, and you choose who to work with. Sessions happen by video, from wherever you are.
Is online therapy as good as seeing someone in person?
For common concerns such as anxiety, low mood and stress, research over the past two decades has repeatedly found that therapy by video works about as well as therapy in a room. What matters most is the fit between you and your therapist, which is why we let you choose and make it easy to switch.
Online therapy is not the right setting for everyone. See “Is mymind right for me?” below.
Is mymind right for me?
mymind is a good fit if you are an adult (or a teen aged 13–17 with a parent’s consent) who wants to talk to a professional about how you feel, your relationships or a change in your life.
It is not the right place if you are in immediate danger, are having thoughts of ending your life, or need urgent or inpatient care. In that case please use the resources on our Get help now page.
Who are the therapists?
Every therapist on mymind is a licensed or registered mental health professional, such as a psychologist, psychotherapist or counsellor, with a recognised qualification and supervised clinical experience. We check identity, qualifications, registration and insurance before anyone joins. Read more about how we vet therapists.
Do I get to choose my therapist?
Yes. This is the main thing we do differently. After the matching questions you see a short list of therapists with their background, approach, languages and availability. You pick who you would like to meet and book your first session with them. If it does not feel right, you can leave within the first 15 minutes and pay nothing.
How much does it cost?
There is no free intro call. Your first session is a full session at the normal price. An individual session costs €65 when you pay as you go, or €59 per session on the monthly plan (4 or more sessions a month). Couples sessions are €85. You see the full price before you book anything, and if you leave your first session within the first 15 minutes you pay nothing. See pricing.
Is there a subscription or minimum term?
No minimum term. Pay as you go has no commitment at all. The monthly plan renews each month and you can pause or cancel it at any time before the next renewal.
What happens in my first session?
Your first session with a therapist is a full 50-minute video session at the normal price: €65 when you pay as you go, or €59 on the monthly plan. You add a card to book it, or pay by SEPA where it is offered. There is no free intro call.
If it does not feel right, you can leave within the first 15 minutes and you pay nothing. If you stay 15 minutes or longer, the session is charged in full. To see what usually happens in the room, read what happens in a first therapy session.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you tell your therapist is protected by professional confidentiality. The only exceptions are the legal ones every therapist has, mainly when someone is at serious risk of harm. Your therapist will explain these at the start.
