What we help with

Online therapy for relationship issues

Relationships are where we feel most seen, and most hurt. Whether it is a partner, a parent, a friend or the absence of someone, relationship pain tends to spill into everything else.

Signs you might recognise

You can work on relationships on your own in individual therapy, or together in couples therapy. Both are valid starting points.

Recognising yourself in a few of these does not mean something is wrong with you. It means it may be worth a conversation.

  • The same argument on repeat with no resolution
  • Feeling more like flatmates than partners
  • Difficulty trusting, or rebuilding trust after a breach
  • People-pleasing and losing track of what you want
  • A break-up or divorce that is hard to move through
  • Tension with family that keeps resurfacing

How therapy helps

Your therapist will suggest an approach based on what you want to change. Common ones include:

  • 1

    Emotionally focused therapy (EFT)

Understand the cycle you get caught in and the needs underneath it.

    How it works

  • 2

    Communication skills

Learn to raise hard topics and listen without the conversation escalating.

  • 3

    Attachment-informed therapy

See how earlier relationships shape what you expect from people now.

    How it works

Three things you can try today

  1. Open with “I feel… when… and I need…” instead of “you always”.
  2. Agree on a pause word for arguments, and a time to come back to the topic.
  3. Ask one curious question before defending your side.

Common questions

Should we do couples therapy or should I go alone?

Both can help. If you both want to work on the relationship, couples therapy addresses the pattern between you directly. If your partner is not ready, or the questions are more about you, start with individual therapy.

Can therapy help after a break-up?

Yes. Therapy gives you space to grieve, make sense of what happened, and notice patterns you may want to change before your next relationship.
