Therapy approaches
ACT online: acceptance and commitment therapy
ACT starts from the idea that fighting painful thoughts and feelings often makes them louder. Instead of trying to get rid of them, you learn to notice them, make room for them, and keep moving toward the life you want.
How it works
It combines mindfulness skills with practical work on values: what matters to you, and what small step would move you in that direction this week.
Who it suits
People who feel stuck in a struggle with their own mind, or who are facing something that cannot simply be fixed.
What sessions look like
- Exercises for stepping back from thoughts instead of arguing with them
- Mindfulness skills you can use in a minute or two
- Clarifying your values in work, relationships and health
- Committed action: small, concrete steps
